At Scribbler, we believe in using our voice, creativity, and community to make a difference. That’s why, since 2019, we’ve been proudly partnering with CoppaFeel!, the UK’s only breast cancer charity dedicated to raising awareness among young people.
Fast-forward to today, and thanks to your generous card-buying, gift-giving, donation dropping selves, we’ve raised over £100,000 for the cause. That’s a whole lot of life saving education, cheeky reminders, and “oh, I should probably check my chest” moments.
Why It Matters
Because breast cancer doesn’t care how old you are, what gender you are, or whether you prefer oat milk or cow’s milk in your coffee.
CoppaFeel! is all about helping young people get to know their bodies so they can spot when something’s not right — and actually do something about it.
They’re on a mission to ensure all breast cancer is diagnosed early and accurately. Their work empowers young people to check their chests monthly, know what’s normal for them, and feel confident speaking to a GP if they notice a change.
Here at Scribbler, we think that’s a bloody important message to be getting out there – we literally all have breasts, chests, and pecs! Which is why we’ve had dedicated products throughout our ranges for the past 6 years, and when you purchase one of
these products, a % of sales goes directly to the charity to help them on their important mission.
Your money = real change
Here’s what your donations can actually do (spoiler: it’s a lot).
£1 - Remind 50 people to check their chest with handy cards.
£14 - Give a whole year group the tools to actually know what their body’s supposed to feel like (and shout about it if something changes).
£26 - Fire off 1,000 cheeky text nudges reminding people to check their chest.
£41 - Send an Education Speaker to a school or workplace to drop the truth bombs about breast cancer and inspire life-saving habits.
£100 - Hand out 256 waterproof shower guides so people can check their chest while soaping up and belting out Taylor Swift.
£200 - Deliver 9 healthcare awareness packs so healthcare professionals have zero excuses not to talk about chest checking.
£675 - Keep CoppaFeel!’s Self-Checkout app alive and kicking — helping people learn the signs and set up their own monthly check reminders.
£1,000 - Reach 30,000 healthcare professionals with the breast awareness gospel via journal ads, boosting their knowledge and confidence to share the breast awareness message with patients.

Our team go the extra mile (literally!)
At Scribbler, we don’t just talk about going the extra mile — we lace up, climb high, and push limits to make it happen. To raise money for CoppaFeel!, our incredible team has baked up storms in the kitchen, braved the tattoo needle for donations, pounded the pavement to run an astonishing 100 miles in just 35 hours, and even scaled the mighty Himalayas. Every step, every challenge, every daring feat is driven by one goal: to raise awareness and funds for early breast cancer detection, proving that when it comes to making a difference, no distance is too far.
Now for the important bit!
How to Check Your Chest
We're not a very shy bunch here, we don’t let anything embarrass us or make us blush – you've probably seen boob-blazed products galore in our stores. So we're encouraging you to be the same, don’t feel awkward or embarrassed, it's literally just a chest, everyone has one. So, let’s cut the awkwardness and get real: checking your chest doesn’t need to be a full-on yoga session. CoppaFeel!’s got your back with zero pressure guidance. Here’s how to do it your style:
1. Pick your vibe.
Shower? Bed? Mirror before you hit the day? Anywhere that works for you! Just choose a comfy spot you won’t bail on. Your chest (yes—even your armpits and collarbone) needs some quality time.
2. Monthly habit FTW.
Make it as routine as your playlist shuffle. Doing it every month helps you know what’s you and what’s not.
3. See it. Feel it.
Don’t just rely on your fingertips—give your chest a look too. Because not all changes are lumps, and some are just visible.
4. When in doubt, GP it out.
If something feels unusual and hangs around longer than a week, get it checked!
5. Everyone’s invited.
We all have breast tissue. CoppaFeel! use the word 'chest' to include all bodies and genders. You might prefer a different word for your chest, and that's okay!. While cis-women are more likely to be affected by breast cancer, roughly 400 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the UK and trans* and non-binary people have been reported to experience a higher incidence of late stage diagnosis due to healthcare access issues or avoidance.
FAQs (Chest Chat You Didn’t Know You Needed)
Q: At what age should I start checking?
A: There’s no rulebook, but CoppaFeel! say it’s cool to start getting to know your body from around age 12–13. Before that? Just be curious about your body as it grows.
Q: Why check if I’m young or don’t have boobs yet?
A: Knowing what’s normal for you = serious confidence. Monthly checks aren’t
about risk—they’re about knowing your own body so you’ll spot anything sus.
Q: Where’s the model with bumps to practice on?
A: Not here. CoppaFeel! wants you to understand your own normal—not some plastic replica. This way, you don’t trip over seeing something that isn’t actually you.
Q: What if I’m bigger-chested or smaller-chested—is checking the same? A: Yup. Just give yourself time—you know, cover all the nooks. Bigger, smaller, it’s all the same gloves-off love.
Q: Something’s changed—can I get checked for free?
A: Absolutely—your NHS GP’s got you covered. No wallet tearing needed.
Q: Can't check? Can someone else do it?
A: Just head to your GP. They’re the ones who can look properly (and respectfully).
Q: Why does CoppaFeel! say “chest” and not just “boobs”?
A: While at Scribbler we love boobs and boob products, when it comes to talking about your own body language matters. “Chest” includes everyone—boobs, pecs, and everything in between—no one left behind.
Q: Where can I get reminders so I don’t ghost monthly checks?
A: Head to CoppaFeel!’s shouty‑nice Self‑Checkout app for text, email, or calendar reminders that work around your actual life.
And finally, why this all started?
It wouldn’t be right to talk about CoppaFeel! without mentioning Kris Hallenga — CoppaFeel!’s fearless, usually glitter-covered, cat-loving founder!
Back in 2009, 23‑year‑old Kris was diagnosed with stage‑4 (secondary) breast cancer after being told for over a year that she was too young to be at risk. That wake‑up call? She turned it into a full‑on mission—creating CoppaFeel!, with her twin sister Maren, to make sure nobody else was left diagnosed far too late like she had been.
She dedicated her life to raising awareness and helping others. Kris wasn’t just talking about boobs—she was demanding action. She took breast cancer awareness to festivals, schools, and even projected messages onto Parliament, flipping awareness from taboo to totally normal.
The work she did has gone on to save thousands of lives and some of our team are incredibly honoured to have had the opportunity to meet her at various points throughout our partnership, and our whole company are dedicated to continuing to get her message out there!
For 15 years, Kris lived with secondary breast cancer. Kris didn’t lose a battle — she lived.
