From zero to a hundred real quick…
Well, things have gotten a little crazy recently, huh?
One minute we were all going about our regular lives, looking forward to parties, holidays, or even just a cold one in the pub after work. Flash forward a few weeks and we’re confined to our homes, obsessively washing our hands and stockpiling loo roll, with only banana bread and Tiger King for comfort!
Although we’ve all been temporarily separated, it’s funny that in some ways we feel more connected than ever.
Despite somewhat having to go “back to basics”, unlike previous generations, we’re fortunate to have technology that helps us to feel like we’re not quite so alone.
Neighbours are rallying to help one another, we’re checking in with friends and family members daily, standing on our doorsteps to applaud NHS workers, organising virtual pub quizzes, making viral videos on TikTok, and even hosting a House Party from our bedroom.
In this truly unique situation, we really are all in this together.
And still, there is nothing quite the same as that all-important physical connection.
We crave to feel close to the people we care about. Now more than ever, the simple act of sending something tangible like a card or gift to a loved one can completely brighten their outlook and say, “We’re still here. You have not been forgotten”.
In amongst all this seriousness, it seems that we could all do with a bloody good laugh.
For nearly 40 years, this has been Scribbler’s passion and we’re not giving up now! During this difficult time, we are more passionate than ever about helping you to stay in touch with the people that mean the most.
It goes without saying that hygiene is currently of the upmost importance – but we’re going to say it anyway.
We have made it our priority to follow government guidelines at every stage of production to ensure the safety of our staff and customers. That means no, you don’t have to worry about us licking our envelopes shut!
Thank you for helping us to continue spreading the love and be a beacon of hope for anyone that needs it.
Stay safe, keep laughing,
The Scribbler Team
PS. Support the NHS by staying home and sending cards instead.
Thank You NHS
It goes without saying (partly because it’s been said so much) that the current Coronavirus situation is unprecedented.
It’s never been easy for NHS staff but now, like never before, these individuals and associated key workers such as the police, fire brigade, delivery drivers and anyone else helping in this struggle are being asked to selflessly put the health of others ahead of their own. This is clearly exposing them and their families to great risk whilst paying a pivotal role in the containment of an illness that could affect any one of us.
We, like many other UK companies, feel that this is worthy of huge praise and are keen to do our bit to ensure that these people are recognized for the Heroes that they are.
With your help we gave away over 15000 free cards to show our appreciation and support to the brilliant NHS staff and key workers who are keeping the rest of us going! Well done and thank you for all of your hard work!
